Hampton Inn & Suites Carson City

Good stay at this hotel! Although kinda steep for a basic hotel, $267.51 for ONE NIGHT in late August! But they lived up to all that was promised. It's very clean and provided everything I needed, except I didn't find a hotel safe in the room. The continental breakfast in the morning was fine, nothing spectacular but they did have hot scrambled eggs, potatoes and sausage. Muffins, yogurt, waffles too if you wanna make em. One complaint I do have is they charged my credit card an extra $50 dollars when I checked in. When I inquired with the front desk why, they said it's in case I use any "incidentals" in the room, such as water bottles and snacks. This seemed a bit excessive to me to charge fifty dollars for something I haven't even used, and I didn't use either. So I'll be watching my statement to have that credited back. Really silly that I have to monitor it myself to get my money back. Watch out for unknown charges! That dings them on service down to 3 stars. The in-app check in and digital key worked as promised. That was nice.

This is our second trip at this Hampton Inn. First was during Covid and now in October of 2023. Desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, comfortable and stocked well. Beautiful pool area, it’s closed for maintenance this trip because it’s the slow season. No problem we had no plans to use it anyway. Better to do it now then in the busy season. Had a pleasant hot breakfast of eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast. Coffee was fresh and juice was delicious. Rooms priced fairly and location is excellent. We will stay here next trip to Carson City in January.
